| NASA Announces Next Chapter in Exploration & History Series
Continuing the NASA online history series "Why We Explore," the second installment will be posted to the NASA Web Portal on Friday.
NASA introduced the online essay series "Why We Explore" on October 1. As NASA prepares to journey to the moon, Mars and beyond, NASA Chief Historian Steven J. Dick takes a look at humanity's continuing desire seek out new worlds.
In the second essay of the series, Dick addresses, "How much risk should individuals and institutions take in pursuit of exploration?"
