NASA Schedules Mars Rover Media Briefing
 
 
NASA will update the news media on the Mars Exploration Rover (MER) mission Tuesday at 1 p.m. EDT at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Pasadena, Calif.

The briefing will cover the Spirit rover's arrival at Columbia Hills and rover Opportunity's descent into Endurance Crater. Both rovers successfully completed their three-month primary missions in April and are exploring during their bonus extended missions.

To participate at JPL media should contact the Media Relations Office for access and credentialing information at: 818/354-5011.

The news conference will be carried live on NASA TV available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz. Audio of the broadcast is available on voice circuit at: 321/867-1220/1240/1260. The briefing will be webcast live at:
