Latest Update To Shuttle Implementation Plan To Be Released Nov. 24

The latest version of "NASA's Implementation Plan for Space Shuttle Return to Flight and Beyond" will be released publicly Monday Nov. 24.

The plan is a periodically updated document. It demonstrates the agency's progress in safely returning Space Shuttles to flight and implementing the recommendations of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board (CAIB).

Updates in the latest version of the plan include the Space Shuttle Program's initial response to Volume II, Appendix D of the CAIB report; NASA's process for handling Return to Flight suggestions; and preliminary cost estimates for Return to Flight.

The updated Space Shuttle Implementation Plan will be available Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. EST on the Internet at:

http://www.nasa.gov
