NASA Awards Multi-million Dollar Contract to Virginia Small Business

NASA's Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, has selected RS Information Systems (RSIS), Inc., a small business in McLean, Va., for professional, administrative, computational, engineering and information-technology support services. The estimated value of the contract, including options, is approximately $61 million.

The contract, which begins on June 1, 2003, is a follow-on contract to an existing agreement for similar services. This is a cost plus fixed-fee, task order, performance-based contract. The contract period of performance is for a three-year base period plus one two-year option, for a total of five years.

Support of center-wide information technology requirements under this contract will include: business systems and applications, computational scientific services, advanced networking systems, technology development, facilities and emerging technology.

RSIS is a Small Business Administration 8(a) company and the recent winner of NASA’s George M. Low Award.
