Atlantis Wraps Successful Mission

The Space Shuttle Atlantis and its crew are home after a nearly 12-day journey of more than 4.9 million miles in space. The mission restarted assembly of the International Space Station by delivering and installing the massive P3/P4 truss and solar arrays which will boost power capabilities and pave the way for station expansion.

"It was a great team effort, so I think assembly's off to a good start," said STS-115 Commander Brent Jett after landing Thursday at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. NASA Administrator Mike Griffin says the mission shows "we're rebuilding the kind of momentum" needed to complete the station.
