The Mission X: International Fitness Challenge has hit full stride with teams of elementary students from around the globe training their way to a healthy lifestyle. As students learn principles of healthy eating and practice physical activities, they earn points for their country teams. The points from participating country teams are combined to help Astro Charlie “walk to the moon”.
Astro Charlie has taken 220,572,000 steps with only 254,428,960 more steps to go! This week he passed the International Space Station on his exploration through space. Fit explorers worldwide continue to work together to add points (steps) every day as they complete activities. Every point contributed from every country gets us a step closer to our goal.
As Astro Charlie “walks to the moon” on the Mission X website, several participating teams of students have shown their support by including a “flat” Astro Charlie in their school activities.
Visit the Mission X: International Fitness Challenge blog at http://trainlikeanastronaut.org/ to read more about these amazing teams of students, as they work to achieve their challenge goal to “train like an astronaut!”
Go Astro Charlie. Keep up your pace! We will see you on the Moon soon!
