NASA’s robotic fleet of rover models are now on display at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. Each model represents technological advancements of the Mars rover fleet. The “Three-Rovers” exhibit opened to the public on March 20th, 2015. Located in NASM’s Explore the Planets Gallery, the exhibit features full scale replicas of three generations of rovers that have successfully landed on Mars. Namely, the Curiosity rover that rode in the 57th Presidential Inaugural Parade on January 21, 2013, the Marie Curie (Sojourner rover Flight Spare), and the Opportunity rover, each prominently displayed in a simulated Mars setting. The exhibit also features a 3D printed replica of the Block Island Meteorite, and a Ratted Rock replica. NASM attracts over 7 million visitors annually.
