Australia Facing Twin Tropical Cyclones

Two images from MODIS were combined to show Tropical Cyclones Marcia and Lam affecting northeastern Australia.

NASA’s Terra satellite passed over central and eastern Australia early on Feb. 19 and two images from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer were combined to show two tropical cyclones affecting northeastern Australia. Cyclone Lam was making landfall in the Northern Territory (left) and Tropical Cyclone Marcia was making landfall on the east coast of Queensland.
