Technology Innovation is a digital publication of NASA's Space Technology Mission Directorate that features coverage of technology innovators and project developments across the agency. The magazine highlights the work of NASA scientists and engineers who design, build and test the cutting-edge technologies that will become vital components of future space missions. A “Spin-Offs” section focuses on the entrepreneurs and industrial partners who are transforming these new technologies into products that benefit the nation. By creating innovative systems and materials for use in space that also have a wide variety of industrial, educational, and humanitarian applications, NASA is advancing space exploration while also improving life on Earth.

Each issue of Technology Innovation contains four feature articles on the space technologies of tomorrow, a pair of short pieces on the commercial evolution of applications or materials developed in NASA laboratories, and an "Insight" piece written by a scientist engaged in groundbreaking research and testing.
