Introductory
Statements for Speakers and Presenters
Speakers
and presenters are asked to provide an introductory statement about themselves
ASAP,
but no later than
September 1. All speakers and presenters have been sent an email requesting this information. Due to time constraints, there will be no other presenters or speakers this year other than the ones contacted and on the agenda. The introductory statement will be used by the Summit chairman or co-chairman to introduce each speaker. Please email it to
laura.s.cerecerez@nasa.gov.
Also, please don’t forget to provide the number of minutes (15 or 30) you would like to speak.
The
introductory statement should include the following information:
- The
name (e.g., nickname) the speaker/presenter prefers for introduction
- Position,
affiliation, and affiliation location
- The
year current job responsibilities began
- Contact info (optional, if not on your presentation)
- Any
other relevant experience or details
Here
is an example introductory statement:
Mr. Nathanael Greene is a Mechanical Engineer and Combustion Scientist at the NASA White Sands Test Facility (WSTF) in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Nathanael has worked in Fire Safety at the NASA Glenn Research Center and in Structures at the NASA Johnson Space Center. He is currently the NASA Project Manager at WSTF responsible for the composite pressure vessel and structures program. Nathanael has experience with composite pressure vessels, structures, flammability, and hydrogen and is an instructor for the Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessel Damage Detection Course.
Nathanael Greene is Summit Chairman and will be presenting “WSTF Laboratory Experience and Capabilities to Support Composite Testing” at the
WSTF 2009 Composite Pressure Vessel and Structure Summit.

Presenters
are asked to send their PowerPoint presentations to
laura.s.cerecerez@nasa.gov before or no later than September 14, one week before the Summit
begins, to accommodate speakers' schedules the day of the Summit.
A
PowerPoint presentation template is provided here for your convenience. It is
optional. If you provide your presentation in a different format, please make
sure to include your name, contact info, and affiliation.
