Student Experiments Successfully Launched

Launch of Orion sounding rocket

The launch of the NASA Orion sounding rocket carrying experiments developed by students from across the country was successfully conducted this morning at 7:11. The payload reached an apogee of 51 km. The payload was recovered and returned to Wallops. The 35 student and teacher principal investigators on hand for Flight Week received their experiments by noon and quickly began their data analysis.
