NASA Looking for Undergraduate Students

September 25, 2007

NASA is expanding a highly successful internship program for undergraduate students.

Called the Undergraduate Student Research Program, the program has been offered in the summer and fall. It is now expanding to include the spring semester, rising sophomores are now eligible and it also is increasing the stipends the students receive.

The program provides students the opportunity to work at a NASA facility to gain valuable experience. It allows students to put to apply the work they have been doing in the classroom. This is not just for students who attend 4-year institutions. Students at community colleges also can apply.

The fall and spring sessions are for 15-weeks and the summer session is 10 weeks.

The application deadline for the spring semester is Oct. 22.

Program information and the online application are available on the USRP website, http://education.nasa.gov/usrp.
