› Larger image WALLOPS ISLAND, VA – The launch of a NASA Terrier-Improved Orion suborbital rocket was successfully conducted at 6:17 a.m. EDT today from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The launch was carrying 17 experiments developed by university instructors and students from across the United States.

The next launch currently scheduled from Wallops is a United States Air Force Minotaur 1 rocket carrying the ORS-1 satellite. The launch window is June 28 through July 10 between 8:28 and 11:28 p.m. Wallops Release No. 11-16
