NEW HURRICANE EXHIBIT OPENS AT NASA JOHN C. STENNIS SPACE CENTER

Visitors at NASA John C. Stennis Space Center wear special 3-D glasses to view animation of Hurricane Katrina’s storm surge along the Gulf Coast at the 3-D Visualization Lab exhibit in StenniSphere, SSC’s visitor center. The Vis Lab complements a new hurricane research exhibit that opened Wednesday, Aug. 29, the storm’s second anniversary. The cyclone-shaped exhibit focuses on the effects of the storm through photos, 3-D models and animations. For more information, call 1-800-237-1821 (option 1) or 228-688-2370; or visit http://www1.ssc.nasa.gov/public/visitors/.
