STENNIS SPACE CENTER EMPLOYEES RECOGNIZED FOR HURRICANE EFFORTS

NASA's Deputy Administrator at a March 3 ceremony honoring their efforts to ensure the survival of the center and its occupants when Hurricane Katrina struck Aug. 29, and their efforts to help the region recover during the following months. Dale and Stennis Space Center Director Rick Gilbrech presented commendations, medals and awards to employees who played key roles. "NASA is very much indebted to you for your efforts to preserve Stennis Space Center and ensure the continuation of the space program," Dale said.
