NASA, NRL SHARE DATA, WORKLOAD ON STUDY CRUISE

Callie Hall, oceanographer with NASA's Applied Sciences Directorate (ASD) at Stennis Space Center (SSC), takes optical measurements from the deck of the R/V Seward Johnson II recently. Hall and her Program Development Directorate colleague Bruce Spiering participated in the Naval Research Laboratory's Slope-to-Shelf Energetics and Exchange Dynamics research project in the Gulf of Mexico. The two scientists collected water samples and data about the optical qualities of the water in and around the Mississippi River plume.
