NASA's Marshall Center to Recognize 245 for Individual and Group Achievements at Annual Honor Awards Ceremony June 21

What: NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will recognize 245 employees, both civil service and contractors, who have made significant contributions to the continued success of America's space program. Awards include certificates, medals and recognition from the president of the United States, the NASA administrator and the Marshall Center director.

Who: Rex Geveden, NASA associate administrator, NASA Headquarters; David King, Marshall Center director

When: Wednesday, June 21, 2006; 10 a.m. CDT -- NASA Honor Awards; 2 p.m. CDT -- Marshall Center Honor Awards

Where: Morris Auditorium, Building 4200, Marshall Space Flight Center

To attend: News media interested in covering the event should contact the Marshall Public & Employee Communications Office at 256-544-0034 no later than Tuesday, June 20. Media must report to the Redstone Arsenal Joint Visitor Control Center at Gate 9, Interstate 565 interchange at Rideout Road/Research Park Boulevard. Vehicles are subject to a security search at the gate. News media will need two photo identifications and proof of car insurance. Parking is available in front of Bldg. 4200 on the southwest side.
