NASA FY 2007 Budget Briefing Scheduled Monday, Feb. 6

What: NASA Administrator Michael Griffin will present the agency's fiscal year 2007 budget proposal in a briefing at noon CST, Monday, Feb. 6. The briefing originates at NASA Headquarters in Washington and will be broadcast live on NASA TV. Griffin and other NASA officials will answer budget questions from members of the news media in Washington only.

David King, director of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will be available soon after the Administrator's briefing ends to discuss the NASA budget as it relates to Marshall Center. News media are encouraged to view the Administrator’s briefing here but if not should arrive no later than 1:30 pm.

A summary of the NASA budget will be available online Feb. 6 at noon CST at:

Where: The Marshall Center Newsroom
Room 115, Bldg. 4200, Rideout Road

To attend: News media interested in covering the event should contact June Malone of the Marshall Public and Employee Communications Department at (256) 544-0034 no later than 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3. Media must report to the Redstone Joint Visitor Control Center at Gate 9, Interstate 565 interchange at Rideout Road/Research Park Boulevard at least 40 minutes prior to the start of the event to be covered. Vehicles are subject to a security search at the gate. News media will need two photo identifications and proof of car insurance. Visitor parking is available in front of Bldg. 4200 on the southwest side.
