NASA has awarded a contract to Jacobs Sverdrup, a subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., to provide engineering, technical, science, propulsion, program management and business services.

The contract begins October 15, 2005, with a one-year base period, followed by four one-year options that may be exercised at NASA's discretion. It is a performance-based, cost-plus performance fee and award fee, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. It has a minimum order quantity value of $50 million and a maximum order quantity value of $500 million, if all options exercised.

Under the contract, Jacobs Sverdrup will perform a wide range of engineering, technical, science, propulsion, program management and business services in support of the agency's Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Ala. and at NASA Headquarters. The company will furnish all resources, including management, personnel, equipment and supplies, unless specific exceptions are made by the government.

The contract is a follow-on effort for engineering and related services, which have been provided by Sverdrup Technology, Inc. (known as Jacobs Sverdrup) of Huntsville for the past five years.
