Marshall Center tree lighting ceremony to honor Columbia crew

This year, the holiday tree lighting ceremony at Marshall Center will carry special significance. Seven large, lighted stars will honor the seven Columbia astronauts.


What: This year, the holiday tree lighting ceremony at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville , Ala. , will carry special significance. Seven large, lighted stars will honor the seven STS-107 Columbia astronauts.

Who: Dave King, director of the Marshall Center , and Marshall employees

When: Monday, Dec. 1
4:30 p.m.

Where: Building 4200, front lawn

To attend: News media interested in covering the event should contact the Marshall Media Relations Department at (256) 544-0034 no later than Friday, Nov. 28. Media must report to Gate 9, Rideout Road exit off I-565. Vehicles are subject to security search at the gate. News media will need two photo identifications and proof of car insurance. Visitor parking is available in front of Bldg. 4200 on the southwest side.
