Hispanic youth conference starts tonight in Huntsville
Nearly 200 Hispanic high school students from across Alabama are arriving in Huntsville today to participate in the "Mi Futuro" ("My Future") Latin American Youth Conference, which runs through Saturday. The conference, which begins tonight with a banquet for participants and their chaperones, is co-sponsored by the Marshall Center, the Alabama Latin American Association and Stillman College.
What: Nearly 200 Hispanic high school students from across Alabama are arriving in Huntsville today to participate in the "Mi Futuro" ("My Future") Latin American Youth Conference, which runs through Saturday. The conference, which begins tonight with a banquet for participants and their chaperones, is co-sponsored by NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville and the Alabama Latin American Association and Stillman College, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Who: Rex Geveden, Marshall Center deputy director, will welcome the students to the banquet, followed by a keynote speech from former astronaut Dr. Jan Davis, director of the Center's Safety and Mission Assurance organization
When: Friday, Oct. 3, 6 p.m. CDT
Where: Marriott Hotel, Huntsville, Grand Ballroom
