NASA to host small business engineering-manufacturing showcase Tuesday, Aug. 26 at Lake Guntersville, Ala.

NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will host a showcase for small engineering and manufacturing businesses in northeast Alabama to learn about business opportunities with NASA and its major contractors.


What: NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will host a showcase for small engineering and manufacturing businesses in northeast Alabama to learn about business opportunities with NASA and its major contractors. Participants will attend workshops and one-on-one sessions on topics such as NASA's mentor-protégé program, banking, technology transfer, commercialization and the Small Business Administration's 8(a) programs.

A reception will follow the workshop.

Who: Dr. Julian M. Earls, director-designate of NASA's John Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, will speak at the luncheon. Marshall Center management, representatives from several Marshall directorates, and officials in the Center's Small Business and Procurement Offices will participate in the meeting. The James Cole Dance Company jazz ensemble and the Snead State choir will perform during the reception, which is open to the public.

When: Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003
Workshop 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Reception 4:30 - 6 p.m.
