Ann McNair, director of the Office of Center Operations at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will be honored Sept. 15 with a "Women Helping Women" award from the nonprofit Women's Economic Development Council of Huntsville. The honor recognizes her decades of success as a woman, mentor and engineer in a technical field. McNair, a native of Moundville, Ala., started her NASA career when the Marshall Center was founded in 1960, and holds the distinction of being the center's first female supervisor in engineering.
