Since 1987, NASA engineer Howard Soohoo has tested rocket engines, hardware and systems for the space shuttle and other projects at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. In 2008, he was named the executive intern supporting the Marshall Center's acting director and administrative team. Soohoo, the son of Chinese immigrants, grew up in Gallup, N.M. He received his electrical engineering degree in 1987 from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, and joined NASA the same year. (NASA/MSFC)
