Dr. Jonathan Campbell
As a NASA Administrator's Fellow, Alexander City, Ala., native Dr. Jonathan W. Campbell will conduct advanced Earth-defense research at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Ala. For his fellowship, he will conduct homeland-defense research; study methods for deflecting asteroids, meteoroids and comets to prevent them from impacting Earth; and help the university build a research working group for space applications. Dr. Kenneth Fernandez
Dr. Kenneth Fernandez has been awarded a NASA's Administrator's Fellowship to conduct research at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Ala. Hong (Tony) Kim
As a NASA Administrator's Fellow, Rockford, Ill., native Hong (Tony) Kim will teach a senior engineering design class at Texas A&M University in Kingsville. A 1985 graduate of Jefferson High School in Rockford, Kim is a project manager at the National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) in Huntsville, Ala. A recent study managed by Kim was the Altus Cumulus Electrification Study (ACES), a project for which researchers chased down thunderstorms using an uninhabited aerial vehicle.
