Thanks to encouragement from his parents George and Marjean Reynolds, David Reynolds is carrying on a family tradition working in America's space program. Reynolds works in the Payload Operations Center - the science command post for the International Space Station - -at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. He supports the Space Station on the ground, but also helped develop the Payload Equipment Restraint System. All Space Station crews use this portable worksite to secure cables, hand tools and odd-shaped items so they don't float away in the weightless environment of space.
