A visitor to the interactive exhibit — International Space Station: The Earth Tour - uses a simulator to practice floating upside down in the low-gravity environment inside the Space Station. Visitors who tour this exhibit at the McWane Center in Birmingham, Ala., from May 24 to Sept. 1, will get a taste of life in orbit from astronaut training to blast-off on the Space Shuttle to living and working on the Space Station. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., is collaborating with McWane to highlight Alabama's contributions to the space program with special lectures and exhibits featuring Space Station hardware built in Alabama.
