Launched on October 7, 2002, Space Shuttle Mission STS-112 traveled to the International Space Station (ISS) and its primary payloads were the S1 integrated truss segment (constructed at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama) and the Crew and Equipment Translation Aid (CETA) Cart A. The CETA was the first of two human-powered carts that rode along the ISS railway, providing mobile work platforms for spacewalking astronauts. In this photo, Astronaut David A. Wolf, STS-112 mission specialist, anchored to a foot restraint on the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) or Canadarm2, carries the Starboard One (S1) outboard nadir external camera. The camera was installed on the end of the S1 Truss on the ISS during the mission’s first scheduled session of extravehicular activity (EVA).
