The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) kicked off on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at NASA's Langley Research Center. The goal for this year's campaign is $381,959, which is the amount that the center raised for CFC in 2011.

"The theme this year is 'Give a Little. Help a Lot,' " explained Frank Peri, Langley's 2012 CFC Chair. "It doesn't take much to make a lot, and every little bit helps someone in need."

CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year for eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits.

The next CFC event at NASA Langley will a be Cornhole Tournament on Oct. 18. The annual chili cook-off, silent auction and bake sale is scheduled for Nov. 14. Other events will soon be announced.
