Mary Jane Yeager Retires
07.24.08
Mary Jane Yeager has been planning to travel. To volunteer with a literacy
group. To work with an animal organization. After August 1, she will have
time to do all of that. Yeager is retiring from NASA Langley after 28 years,
all spent in procurement. She came to Langley from the VA Medical Center in
Richmond, where she met husband Ken, who retired eight years ago from the
Army Corps of Engineers. "We decided we wanted better jobs," Yeager said of
her move to Hampton Roads in1980. "It was the best move I could have made."
So now she'll have time on her hands, but not without remorse. "I'll really
miss the people here," Yeager said. "They're great."
