Volunteer for the 2010 NASA Day of Caring
08.11.10
NASA employees, contractors and retirees are invited to volunteer their
time, talents, and energy to support an annual one day-event benefiting
more than 20 agencies, schools and non-profit organizations for the 2010 Day
of Caring. The Day of Caring connects local volunteers with needed projects
for agencies such as yard work, construction, repairs, painting, visiting
veterans and elderly.
Day of Caring also provides an opportunity for volunteers to see first hand
how their Combined Federal Campaign dollars are helping the community.
Program recipients will experience the caring, giving attitudes of
volunteers.
How do you get involved with the Day of Caring 2010? LaRC employees
interested in participating in this event should complete the on-line
volunteer participation form at http://caring.larc.nasa.gov
http://caring.larc.nasa.gov/
The deadline to register is August 14, 2010.
YOUR NASA REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL THE PARTICIPATION FORM IS FAXED
TO THE VOLUNTEER CENTER AT (757) 262-0725 AND YOU RECEIVE CONFIRMATION FROM
THE VOLUNTEER CENTER.
Volunteers are not allowed to switch to different projects. Please notify
LaRaunce Fleming at 757.864.3297 or
LaRaunce.A.Fleming@nasa.gov of any
changes or conflicts with your volunteer service.
The Langley Center Director has approved up to 8 hours excused leave for
Langley civil service employees. Contractors who wish to participate should
contact their corporate office before completing the form. As always,
retirees are invited to volunteer.
