Ray Burcher passed away on July 17, 2008.
Ray was a lifelong resident of resident of York County, and was a 1952 graduate of Poquoson High School. He was employed with NASA for 30 years until his retirement in 1993. He was also owner/operator of Precision Craft Machine Shop in Grafton for over 50 years.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Grafton Christian Church with the Rev. Paul Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19, in Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grafton Christian Church, 109 Brick Church Road, Yorktown, VA 23692; or to the York County Fire & Rescue/Life & Safety, P.O. Box 532, Yorktown, VA, 23692.
