Henry Edward Shackelford, Jr.
Henry Edward Shackelford, Jr. passed away on Dec. 28, 2007.
Henry was a 1967 graduate of Gloucester High School, graduated from Virginia Tech in 1971 and received his master's from Florida Tech. He was employed at NASA Langley for 29 years and was supervisor of the Entomology Department. Henry loved fishing, crabbing and spending time at his West Virginia cabin.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Stephen T. Vineyard, will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Bellamy United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Bellamy Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
In Henry's memory, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
