NASA Space Tech Lead to Discuss New Directorate, Asteroid Mission

HAMPTON, Va. – NASA Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) Associate Administrator Michael Gazarik will be available to speak with reporters during a media roundtable at NASA’s Langley Research Center on Friday, April 19, from 10:30–11 a.m.

Gazarik will talk about the important role space technology will play in the agency’s recently announced asteroid initiative and the new NASA mission directorate.

Reporters interested in attending the roundtable discussion should RSVP to Kathy Barnstorff by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at 757-864-9886/344-8511 or by e-mail to kathy.barnstorff@nasa.gov. Animation of an asteroid retrieval mission concept is available.

Gazarik worked at NASA Langley for 10 years before moving to NASA Headquarters.
