HAMPTON, Va. -- NASA has selected ITT Industries Space Systems LLC of Ft. Wayne, Ind., to provide scientific, analysis and modeling support necessary to conduct research for the Active Sensing of CO2 Emissions over Nights, Days and Seasons (ASCENDS) mission.
The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract supports NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., in meeting the objectives of ASCENDS concept development. The cost plus fixed fee contract has a maximum value of five million dollars over a period of five years.
ASCENDS seeks to enhance understanding of the role of carbon dioxide in the global carbon cycle. As defined in task orders over the life of the contract, ITT Industries Space Systems will support science, technology, design, development, test and evaluation activities.
The work will be performed at the contractor location in Fort Wayne, Ind.
