White House fact sheet

Roy D. Bridges, Jr., Director of NASA’s Langley Research Center, will meet with news media at 11 a.m. Friday, January 16, to discuss President Bush’s recently announced vision of exploration for the nation. The briefing will be held in the Langley newsroom.

The President announced on Wednesday a sustained human and robotic program to explore the moon, Mars and other destinations across the solar system.This vision affirms his commitment to space exploration and provides a clear direction for America’s civil space program.

Langley Research Center played a critical role in the Nation’s entry into the space era. Bridges will outline potential contributions by Langley to this new initiative.

Media wishing to participate should call Margarette Lynch at 757-864-6124 by 10 a.m., Friday, January 16, to arrange for credentials and entry onto the Center.
