NASA ADMINISTRATOR ADDRESSES CAIB INITIAL FINDINGS

NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe will discuss the initial findings of the Columbia Accident
Investigation Board (CAIB) at a news conference at 11 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
The briefing will originate from NASA Headquarters, Washington, and will be carried on
NASA TV.

Reporters are invited to view the briefing at NASA’s Langley Research Center where they
may ask questions of the Administrator.  To participate, call Margarette Pitts at 757/864-
6124 by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, to arrange for credentials and entrance onto the Center.

NASA TV is broadcast on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85 degrees west
longitude.  The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical and audio is monaural at
6.80 MHz.  NASA TV information is on the Internet at:
