NOTE TO EDITORS:
TECHNOLOGY FORUM OFFERS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SMALL
BUSINESSES AND UNIVERSITIES
As part of a continuing effort to develop business partnerships
with universities and industry teams, NASA Langley's Office of
Education, the Virginia Center for Innovative Technology and
Hampton University are hosting the fifth annual Small Disadvantaged
Business and University Opportunities Forum June 26 at NASA Langley
Research Center, Hampton, Va.
Structured to identify and promote small businesses with strong
potential to participate in NASA programs, this year's forum will
be a full day of presentations by NASA researchers, small
disadvantaged businesses and minority institutions. The forum
creates a rare high-level marketing opportunity to meet key
management, technical and procurement personnel across the
country.
Also, participants will have the opportunity to meet privately
with customers from NASA Langley and present their capabilities and
technology for consideration in a potential business
partnership.
"Through this forum, NASA receives quality goods and services at
a lower overall cost while small businesses continue to develop,
prosper, and assist in fulfilling the NASA mission," says Vernon
Vann, small business specialist, NASA Langley.
The forum continues a partnership among NASA Langley's Office of
Procurement and Office of Education, NASA Headquarters' Office of
Aerospace Technology and Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization, Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology and
Hampton University. For more information, visit:
