NOTE TO EDITORS:
NASA Langley to hold briefing on FY 2003 budget

A briefing on NASA's fiscal year 2003 budget request will be held Monday, Feb. 4, at 3 p.m. at Langley Research Center, Hampton.

The briefing will have two parts:

Part 1 -- 3 p.m.:   Part 2 -- Immediately following:
NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe
NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe
NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe will provide an overview of the Agency’s 2003 budget request. NASA management officials will also be on hand to answer questions. The briefing will be carried live on NASA TV with two-way question-and-answer capability for reporters covering the event from NASA field centers.   NASA Langley Research Center Director Dr. Jeremiah F. Creedon
NASA Langley Research Center Director Dr. Jeremiah F. Creedon
Langley Research Center Director Dr. Jeremiah F. Creedon will discuss the Langley portion of the NASA budget and its impact locally. Dr. Creedon will also take questions from Hampton Roads reporters.

The briefings will be held in the NASA Langley newsroom in Building 1202 on North Dryden Street. Reporters will be met at the gate and provided with badges by a representative of the Office of Public Affairs.

To participate in the news conference, call Margarette Pitts at 864-6124 to arrange for credentials and an escort to the newsroom.

NASA TV is on GE-2, transponder 9C, located at 85 degrees West longitude, with vertical polarization. Frequency will be on 3880.0 megahertz, with audio on 6.8 megahertz.
