Wanted: Future engineers, scientists
NASA Langley Explorer Posts now registering
NASA Classifieds- Education, part-time:
National research laboratory and federally chartered youth
organization seek young men and women with career interests in
aeronautics, astronomy and computer science. Must want to explore
career choice in high tech environment.
No experience necessary.
The Explorer Program, co-sponsored by the Colonial Virginia
Council, Boy Scouts of America, and NASA Langley Research Center,
provides an opportunity for male and female students to develop
their interest and abilities in science, mathematics and
technology. Explorers will have the opportunity to participate in
hands-on research activities and interact with engineers,
scientists, and technicians.
The program is available to high school young men and women who
are at least 16 years of age upon registration and are U.S.
citizens. No previous affiliation with scouting is required. A
$25.00 fee will be collected during registration; checks can be
made payable to the Colonial Virginia Council of the Boy Scouts of
America.
Registration for the Explorer Program at Langley Research Center
will be held in the H.J.E. Reid Conference Center, 14 Langley
Blvd., (Building 1222), Hampton, Va., Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at
7 p.m.
