NASA Langley to Hold News Briefing on FY 2001 Budget
A briefing
on NASA's fiscal
year 2001 budget request will be held on Monday, Feb. 7, at
2:30 p.m. in the newsroom at Langley Research Center.
The briefing will have two
parts:
- 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.: NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin
and Comptroller Malcolm Peterson will hold a briefing and answer
reporters' questions from Washington, D.C. The briefing will be
carried live on NASA TV with two-way question and answer capability
for reporters covering the event from participating NASA
centers.
- 3:30 to 4 p.m.: Langley Research Center Director Dr.
Jeremiah F. Creedon will discuss the Langley portion of the NASA
budget and its impact locally. He also will participate in a
question and answer session with Hampton Roads reporters.
The briefings will be held
in the NASA Langley newsroom in Building 1202 on North Dryden
Street. Reporters will be met at the gate and provided with badges
by a representative of the Office of Public Affairs.
NASA television is on GE-2,
transponder 9C, located at 85 degrees West longitude, with vertical
polarization. Frequency will be on 3880.0 megahertz, with audio on
6.8 megahertz.
