NASA LANGLEY SHOWCASES WORK AT VIRGINIA STATE FAIR

NASA Langley Research Center will participate in the Virginia State Fair in Richmond from Sept. 25 through Oct. 5 with a series of interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages.

The goal of the NASA exhibit is to inform the public about how programs at NASA Langley willlead the nation into the 21st Century.

The official NASA Langley Visitor Center - The Virginia Air & Space Center - will feature the museum's educational programs and SpaceBall ride. Other exhibits will showcase NASA Langley's contributions to Mars Pathfinder, building structures in space, advanced composite materials, wind tunnels, futuristic airplane models, atmospheric sciences, satellites, high-speed research, and technology spinoffs. The exhibit will also provide demonstrations on how to access information about NASA Langley's research through the World Wide Web.

The NASA exhibit will be in the Commonwealth Technology Center, where the exhibit theme will be "Wave of the Future." Each organization featured in the technology building has a unique relationship to information and technology. The building is near the main entrance of the Richmond Fair Grounds.
