NASA LANGLEY SHOWCASES WORK AT VIRGINIA STATE FAIR
NASA Langley Research Center will participate in the Virginia
State Fair in Richmond from Sept. 25 through Oct. 5 with a series
of interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages.
The goal of the NASA exhibit is to inform the public about how
programs at NASA Langley willlead the nation into the 21st
Century.
The official NASA Langley Visitor Center - The Virginia Air
& Space Center - will feature the museum's educational programs
and SpaceBall ride. Other exhibits will showcase NASA Langley's
contributions to Mars Pathfinder, building structures in space,
advanced composite materials, wind tunnels, futuristic airplane
models, atmospheric sciences, satellites, high-speed research, and
technology spinoffs. The exhibit will also provide demonstrations
on how to access information about NASA Langley's research through
the World Wide Web.
The NASA exhibit will be in the Commonwealth Technology Center,
where the exhibit theme will be "Wave of the Future." Each
organization featured in the technology building has a unique
relationship to information and technology. The building is near
the main entrance of the Richmond Fair Grounds.
