Friday, Jan. 10:
FORMER APOLLO 13 ASTRONAUT TO GIVE TALK AT NASA LANGLEY

Former Apollo 13 astronaut T.K. Mattingly, now Lockheed Martin vice president, will talk to NASA Langley employees Friday, Jan. 10, about development of the X-33 next-generation spacecraft.

Media are invited to attend the briefing, which will be held at the H.J.E. Reid Conference Center at 1 p.m.

Lockheed Martin was was awarded a contract in July to develop the X-33. Elements of the X-33 program are being carried out at NASA Langley.

X-33 photos and video b-roll are available from the Office of Public Affairs. In addition, a scale model of Lockheed’s design will be displayed at Mattingly’s talk.
