NASA Langley Research Center will participate in the Virginia State Fair in Richmond from Sept. 26 through Oct. 6 with a series of interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages.
The goal of the NASA exhibit is to inform the public about how programs at NASA Langley will lead us into the 21st Century.
The official NASA Langley Visitor Center - The Virginia Air & Space Center in Hampton - will feature the museum's educational programs. Other exhibits will showcase NASA Langley's crash facility, the Olympics transportation experiment, advanced composite materials, wind tunnels, futuristic airplane models, the space shuttle, satellites, and high-speed research.
The exhibit will also provide demonstrations on how to access information about NASA Langley's research through the World Wide Web.
The NASA exhibit will be located in the Commonwealth Technology Building, where the exhibit theme will be "Welcome to the 21st Century." Each organization featured in the technology building has a unique relationship to information and technology. The building is near the main entrance of the Richmond Fair Grounds.
