APRIL 25: RUSSIANS TO DISCUSS EDUCATION ALLIANCE AT NASA LANGLEY

Officials of Kaliningrad, Russia, are scheduled to visit Hampton and NASA Langley Research Center on Thursday, April 25, to discuss forming an International Aerospace Cities Alliance.

The Russians will arrive at Langley at 1:30 p.m. following meetings with Hampton city officials. They will be available for media interviews at 1:30 p.m. at NASA Langley’s Office of Education, Bldg. 1216, which is directly across from the H.J.E. Reid Conference Center on Langley Boulevard.

Scheduled to attend the meeting are Vladimir Ponomarev, mayor of Kaliningrad; Alexey Cheremnykh, vice mayor; and Victor Daminov, a business leader.

The Russians are visiting aerospace cities in the United States to discuss formation of an International Aerospace Cities Alliance. The Kaliningrad officials are interested in fostering partnerships in business, technology transfer and education.

At NASA Langley, the officials are being hosted by Dr. Samuel Massenberg, head of the Office of Education.
