NASA Langley is hosting an Internet Fair Oct. 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the H.J.E. Reid Conference Center, 14 Langley Blvd., Hampton. "[It's] an opportunity for the community and NASA to come together to demonstrate how Hampton Roads is using information technology," said Gretchen Gottlich, a member of the all-volunteer NASA Langley World Wide Web team. "How we do aerospace research is a product in itself. How we're using World Wide Web technology to streamline our business processes, that's applicable to businesses large and small."
The Internet Fair will include exhibits from NASA Langley, local businesses and universities that highlight the many ways information technology is revolutionizing the way we work, learn and play. At the fair, NASA Langley researchers will explain such topics as how to set up a computer network, use electronic mail, ensure computer security, and, for businesses, how to get your product information on the World Wide Web.
For more information on the fair, via the World Wide Web, visit the Internet Fair home page at URL: /centers/larc/if2/. The Internet Fair is open to the general public (U.S. citizens only), but pre-registration is required.
