The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named a NASA Langley Research Center contractor as the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year.

Analytical Services & Materials (AS&M), Inc., Hampton, has several contracts at Langley which include; support of research for structures & materials and aerodynamics, aerothermodynamics & acoustics technology for aerospace vehicles, as well as, provides information technology services to operate and maintain the operational configuration of NASA Technology Transfer Service.

The SBA Contractor of the Year Award honors small businesses that have provided the government and industry with outstanding goods and services either as the prime contractor or as a subcontractor.

AS&M was selected over nine other Federal regional finalists in the prime contractor category.

The contractor awards also recognize businesses and organizations for their commitment to providing contracting and subcontracting opportunities to small, women-owned and small disadvantaged businesses.
