Image above: The NASA Jet-FLying Controls testbed (J-FLiC), an element of Experimental Capabilities development in the Subsonic Fixed Wing Program for low-cost testing of advanced flight control concepts. Dr. Mark A. Motter stands beside the J-FLiC and its manual controller and autopilot interface in the UAV Flight Controls Lab. J-FLiC was successfully demonstrated at the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) UAV Demo 2007 at Webster Field, MD in August, including a 300 kph (180 mph) pass down the runway.
