Ares Lift
Hardware is being fabricated at NASA Langley prior to airlifting to NASA's Kennedy Space Center for flight test next year.
Pictured is a major element of the Ares I-X Crew Module/Launch Abort System simulator. The elements will simulate the topmost parts of the Ares I-X, the rocket designed to demonstrate technologies for NASA's next generation of crewed spacecraft.
