Fabrication of Fiber-Metal Laminates

Fabrication of Fiber-Metal Laminates With Non-Autoclave Processes- VARTM-based technology enables larger, less expensive hybrid laminate parts. This technique enables the preparation of metal/composite hybrid laminates, through a simple one-step processing method. The process essentially eliminates the need to produce glass or graphite prepreg prior to production of a hybrid laminate, and it allows the production of large, net shape structures not possible with autoclave or press technologies.
